In addition to my "day job" and advocacy efforts, I also work with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Paradigm Publishing to provide additional contributions to the world of pharmacy technician education.
ASHP/ACPE Co-Surveyor
I have been a volunteer ASHP co-surveyor since 2016, assisting with accreditation site surveys for pharmacy technician programs throughout the United States. I review programmatic self-studies with ASHP Lead Surveyors and conduct on-site curriculum review, facility assessment, and interviews with program faculty, students, and graduates. We work together to make finalized recommendations for each program seeking accreditation.
Publishing Author & Consultant
I have worked with Paradigm Publishing for several years in multiple capacities, to include being on their inaugural Pharmacy Technician Education Advisory Board. I serve as a subject matter expert in the proposal/development of various book projects; develop textbook matter on the topics of pharmacy technician roles and responsibilities, community pharmacy practice, internship guidance, and professionalism in the workplace; create instructor resources for multiple products; serve as a subject matter expert and content reviewer. I co-authored Pharmacy Labs for Technicians, 4th edition, in 2020 (check it out here).
